BOTW #41 – The Dip
It always makes me happy to see “young people” playing jazzy soul-funk music as these seem to be genres that are increasingly becoming foreign to the internet-obsessed generation of today. Local Seattle band, The Dip, serves up an impressive lineup of original tunes in their debut release, appropriately entitled “Premium Northwest Soul EP” (standout tracks include: “Working Man” and “Abe’s Groove”).
The Dip’s feel-good upbeat vibes, super clean horn section (The Honeynut Horns), catchy licks, and solid vocalist make for a perfect soundtrack for any upcoming film set in the 70’s or even a chill study playlist while you gear up for finals!
