BOTW #83 – PVRIS
I had the pleasure of covering this band for Rain City Ambience when they opened on the Mayday Parade tour a couple weeks ago, and I still can’t get over how much they killed it on their debut album! PVRIS (pronounced “Paris”) has a punk-pop core in their sound that is softened by the expertly produced synthesizers and Lyndsey Gunnulfsen’s ability to sing with a soft tone and turn it around to an angsty shout-y chorus. The album, “White Noise,” has a very comprehensive feel and it is apparent that the band knows who they are as musicians. Did I mention Blake Harnage of VersaEmerge produced the thing? It definitely sounds like it, and we even got some co-written tracks from Sierra Kusterbeck!
If you like ______, definitely check out PVRIS.
