New Year, New Music – Most Anticipated Albums of 2015 (so far)
Can these bands and artists please hurry up? I’m a huge fan of all of these guys and gals, and can’t wait to hear what they all have been working on in the music lab!
Muse
One of my all time favorite bands. I cannot wait to hear what epic synth/string-infused stadium rock tunes they have created. Their last release, The 2nd Law, was in 2012 and that was WAY too long ago.
Adele
The radio stations and my ears desperately need new Adele tracks to spin. Her album, 25, was supposed to be released in 2014 but their were issues with her label and such. I don’t know why they’re stalling because I’m pretty sure her record-breaking album sales will solve all their problems.
Demi Lovato
I swear Demi is our generation’s most underrated pop vocalist. This girl can WAIL. Plus, she’s got writing and piano/guitar/drumming chops to back it all up. Hoping she releases this record in time for next year’s Grammy considerations!
Kelly Clarkson
Although I LOVE xmas albums, we haven’t heard Kelly on her signature girl power tracks since 2012. The first and best idol, hands down.
Pickwick
Seattle’s indie-rock/soul/r&b own put out their debut LP in March of 2013, and I have been looping it and waiting for a follow-up ever since.
Ellie Goulding
This electric-pop songstress pretty much killed it with her debut, and repackaging of Halycyon (2012) and Halcyon Days (2013). We’re waiting patiently, gurl!
Beat Connection
The guys have been teasing the release of their upcoming album all over their social media accounts. I can speak for many of us Seattleites when I say we need some new tunes!
Paramore
When do I not want a new Paramore album? After their super successful run with their self-titled album and tours, they totally deserve a break, but I’m crossing my fingers that they don’t take one.
Nate Ruess of fun.
Looks like we won’t be getting a Fun. release anytime soon as it looks like the band is on a hiatus. However, we can expect Fun. frontman, Nate Ruess, to put out a powerful solo release. Stoked!
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
These hometown heroes slayed it with The Heist and their DIY revolution. I can’t wait to hear the next chapter of their journey! Here’s to a new year, and tons of new music!
JoJo
My r&b-pop queen. The girl has got chops and soul beyond her years. Her 3rd studio full length release could not come any sooner.
Tori Kelly
If riffing was a sport, Tori Kelly would be in the Olympics. Her unique brand of singer/songwriter/soulful/guitar-slaying music has gotten her the attention of the YouTube generation, and I can’t wait for the masses to hear her talents. Check out the single, “Nobody Love” asap!
Rozzi Crane
The first artist to sign to Adam Levine’s label is this girl. Her rasp, range, and her distinct tone will grab your ears right away! Her EP is due February 16th (but I’m waiting for that full length!!!).
Peace, Love, & Rock n’ Roll,
