Jagwar Ma, Iska Dhaaf, & Vox Mod – Sound Select @ The Neptune 12/10/13 Recap
Sound Select was such a cool event put on by Red Bull! The concert series allows for local and up and coming artists a chance to play at cool venues, like The Neptune, across the United States. The Seattle Sound Select featured local artists Vox Mod and Iska Dhaaf, who opened up for rising indie-rock stars, Jagwar Ma. Did I mention the show was only THREE DOLLARS and we got free t-shirts? It was almost too good to be true!
Jagwar Ma
Think indie-alt-rock-psychedelic dance party, and you get the up-beat live show that the dudes of Jagwar Ma put on! With the help a alive DJ spinning drum and keyboard tracks, this Australian duo definitely knows how to get a crowd pumped! Tunes like “What Love” and “Uncertainty” are great live, and they even added extra dance breaks. Lead vocalist, Gabriel, has such a pleasant and airy tone that is even more apparent when not being restricted by a studio recording.

Iska Dhaaf
Fans of Wavves, MGMT, and Matt & Kim, will totally dig this indie-surf-punk-rock duo. These guys are local and it was SO cool to see audience members singing along to their songs!
Vox Mod
This artist/DJ has all the right ingredients for awesome EDM and I think it is only a matter of time before he gets on the level of Zedd, Skillex, and people of the like. With the help of some guest musicians and singers, he is well on his way!
Peace, Love, & Rock n’ Roll,
A-Tran.
